  • Rendering Motion blur with soft "ease in" and "ease out" possible? (movement stripes start soft and end soft)

I have to render streams of particles in movement,
but the motion rendering of points is like hard sticks.

Is there a way to get it more softly starting and ending?

    thanks

Hi is it possible that you share with us a video, image or your scene so we can better understand what you are after. You can do this here on the forum or through our contact form here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Motion blur is tightly connected to the speed of the moving object. Maybe try animating the motion of the particles and let's see how it goes.

Raise the number of geometry steps in the motion blur panel to get curved trajectories.
You can instead change interval center and bias to move the blur center around (and so get sharp star and soft end, or viceversa).

You might also sometimes desire to animate the amount of motion blur on the particles to ramp it down when they are slow. Even if particles are not actually moving, if they have a high value to their velocity channel they will be rendered like sticks/lines (i.e. they will be blurred).
