actually not sure if this is a Vray thing or 3ds max thing - hope not 3ds max b/c there is typically no support. but anyway... i find that my viewports have a black background when the viewport is set to "default shading" my startup template file is 4 quads and they are T F L P. the perspective is fine with solid-grey background, but when i rotate in one of the other views by orbiting, the background becomes black.
i found a spot where there's apparently a new option in Viewport Configuration called "synchronize with Display Mode". well is that coming from Vray somehow? or is that a Max thing. I never noticed it before. i thought maybe i accidently changed a setting in Vray re. viewports. thanks!
