  • How do i Create realistic floor tiles effect

    Hi All,
I am a 3dmax Vray beginner. Recently I am trying to do this floor tile effect. However, the result I have gotten is always on one big map. How do change it to make sure every tile has a different mapping? Thank you

You can't really do this with the standard tiles map.
You can use Bercon Tiles together with Multitexture and this will mean you need a few different textures to plug into the Multixtexture.
It can be a bit fiddly to set up but is a good method to randomise things. Maybe the next two methods are simpler, plus you get the benefit of actual tile models rather than just relying on maps.

You can model your tiles/grout, collapse them into one mesh, then use a Vraymultisub texture, with various different textures.
You can model your tiles, collapse them into one mesh, then use only one material but randomise it using a UVWRandomiser mapping.

I'd go for the last option, less hassle, no plugins. Same result.
