  • still no g-buffers, glass gets darkened ??

I`m working on a scene where I have a glass roof, seen against the background sky. Vray is 1.46.15 on MAX5.1. I`m using expotential color mapping, I`ve unchecked the affect background, cause it`s impossible to set correct lighting with color mapping applied to the background.

    Two things:
    1. Why the glass on the roof is darkened? (probably color mapping does not take into accout the refractions??)
    2. Why can`t I get the G-buffers out? I could then correct the dark glass using alpha+reflection channels.

I`ve been having those problems for a long time with V-ray. Usually I`ve worked around PS-ing it, but I have enough now. Can you help? Here is the scene:

    Thank you kind.

I`ve just tried to merge the scene into a fresh empty scene - and the G-buffers work!
So it`s something in that scene, that has disabled the g-buffers. Some switch or what?

      OK, I know some more...
In my case the G-buffers disappear when I use DR.
