  • Refining IRR map

    If I'm creating a irr map for a fly-through and it is coming out blotchy. What settings can I safely change when I'm using "incremental add" to improve it.

    Can I just mess with min & max? Or just subdivisions? Or just QMC settings?

    Can I chance the interpolation settings?

    I'm simply not clear on what settings can be tweaked without totally screwing up the map.

    If you have blotches, you can either increase the hemispheric subdivisions for the irradiance map, or increase the interpolation samples. The first method would require you to recompute the map, since it can't fix blotches that are already there. The second method might work with your existing map, but it make it more blurry.
