  • Rendering VTK Simulation Files

    Hello brains trust
I have a sequence of VTK files that i need to render up...
I can see the sequence when i load it in Paraview but i am unable to get the animation into 3dsmax (which is what i need).
Its a long shot but hoped someone on here has had any success...
    Any help would be amazing.
    Fingers crossed.
    Jono

How do you import the.vtk files in 3ds Max? You've converted them somehow to i.e. .obj? Could you provide a few frames so we can take a look?

I cant import the vtk files into 3dsmax.
Ive opened them in Paraview (another programme for visualising simulation data) and I am able to export an separate obj file for each frame, which I cant use in 3dsmax as there are 500 frames of simulation.

Unfortunately, there isn't a native way to load .obj sequences, so a script is needed (a .obj sequence loader). I cannot find an available script for 3ds Max, but this Maya one works.
