Wire constant value to IOR slot or float value??

Hi all can anyone show me how to wire up a material in slate so that i can put in some kind of float value node? not one type of controller can be wired to IOR slot. i want to do this like in unreal engine where you put in a constant value. doe that make sense? see image i tried to wire these to IOR it does not allow any of them.

If you show the "Additional Parameters" of the VRayMtl, you'll be able to plug in the controller there.
