Hello, I have an image of a metal texture and I need to match it for a project. If anyone could give me a suggestion as to how to go about making this antique nickel, I would really appreciate it. I have watched tutorials on how to make the base nickel metal texture, but it needs those little irregular lines on it to "antique" it. Thank you for any assistance.

You can try and adapt some texture from materials from Cosmos, or make yourself a procedural one, by stretching a noise (either in UV space, or in 3d space.) and sharpening its cutoff.
The same texture could then be used to drive anisotropy rotation/amount, specular roughness, and if you have to get up close, also a smidgen of bump (via vrayColor2Bump texture.).
You could also use the texture as mask to characterise the shader further (i.e. color and such.).
You'll probably need a bit more than the original Max Noise, and if that is the case you may find stuff like SigerNoise useful (not an endorsement.).

I've attached you a max file.
Notice i left bump off, while it's set up properly, because it's not needed, i think.
Replace the HDR image in the dome light with one you have, or one from Cosmos (i am not sure i have the rights for the one i used to go around.).
