RTX 3080 ti or RTX 3090

For our new workstation we're nu sure what graphics card to buy, either a RTX 3080 ti or a RTX 3090 (price difference is minimal). Does anyone have suggestion or experience with one or both?

The rest of the configuration contains a AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX and 128Gb Ram.

Im going to get a 3090 soon once prices drop a little more. In the uk, Ive seen some for £899 which is crazy, considering how overpriced they were 6 months ago. From what Ive read, the 3090 is better, but not by much. The biggest difference is the double amount of RAM, and the price. Looks like a 3080ti is about 15% cheaper. So it depends if you need to save money, or if you need the RAM.
