  • Does VrayToon atmosphere effect require lights?

for I test the scene like this with VRayToon atmosphere effect
Click image for larger version Name:	toon1.jpg Views:	0 Size:	14.1 KB ID:	1160143

the VRayToon render element , some alias appeared in shadow area
Click image for larger version Name:	toon2.jpg Views:	0 Size:	18.7 KB ID:	1160144

back light added , alias are gone
Click image for larger version Name:	toon3.jpg Views:	0 Size:	19.6 KB ID:	1160145

so Does VrayToon atmosphere effect require lights?

and last I changed vrayToon line color to red , and all lights deleted , it works well, I got some confused...

( the red line rendered image and VrayToon render element , they are good )

The gray line is good ,
only black color , in complete darkness , please test it

render result has no problem , but Render Element got alias in total dark area

          Thanks,
And then I tried to delete all lights , edges around object are smooth , edges inside object are noised ...(in render element) , maybe its not depend light..

Hi you could try raising the min subdivs parameter in the image sampler settings.

Start with a value of 2 and if the result is still not good enough, go higher.
