  • Request for a Vray Object Properties script, please

    Hi all,

Is there a -knowledgeable- kind soul that could make a macro script to use as a toolbar button, to "Toggle" between the states shown in the picture bellow?

Name:	image.png
Views:	172
Size:	198.1 KB
ID:	1160811

Basically, what I am looking for, is an instant toggle on/off button for the two Matte properties in the V-Ray object panel, a -1/1 toggle for the Alpha Contribution and a 0/1 toggle for the three Reflection/Refraction/GI entries; all toggled with one single click, with no UI involved.

    Would this be possible ?

    Thanks in advance...
    Greg

      You're my hero!
      Thanks a mill, much appreciated!
      Works like charm!

Do you think this could become a single button on a toolbar directly, instead of opening it's own popup UI with the two buttons inside?
No worries if It's not possible; it works great as is, cause I can keep it open and work away.

The toggling could work, but it would get messy quickly in mixed-case situations (f.e. where the top part is set but not the bottom).
The UI takes up hardly any memory or space, though.

            You're welcome.
Notice that if you open the script, there is a list of all the V-Ray properties at their defaults, so it ought to be trivial to extend/change the script.

              Thanks a million!
It's super useful and using it already!
It's perfect as it is, no worries.

I so wish I could have the time to learn how to code in Max, but thankfully there are awesome people like yourself who help out in the time of need...
