Even if by some lucky coincidence it does work, I wouldn't recommend it.
Chaos Scatter is designed to work with V-Ray 6 and above. There are exclusive changes on the V-Ray side that make the full support of Scatter possible. Also Chaos Scatter requires its own license which is shipped with V-Ray 6.If it was that easy, it would have already been done
