  • What is my Rendered Scene Poly Count?

I have a massive scene, using tons of proxies and displacements. How can i find out what the actual poly count is at render time? I don't see anything in log.

in Deadline anyway, there's stats for the render at the very end of the log, which I believe includes triangle count.

Yeah i don't use deadline, but checked the fully verbose vray log and didn't see anything in there. Though there'd be something simple for sure.

One thing i did see is that if you turn on Polycount in the max viewport, and then do an IPR, it will update with actual render counts. I'll try that in the big scene and see if it works, tested on a teapot with turbosmooth of 8 at renderitme.

Update: It does not work with VRay Proxies like that.... A for effort.

Also checked the Stamp features in VFB, but there is nothing for polycount, only primitive count. %tricount ir %polycount would be a good add there.

      No solution yet.

First of all, V-Ray works with triangles, so you won't be able to count quads. Also, the triangle count is already available in the Stats and in the Stamp (%sdTrisID and %mbTrisID). Note that the proxy triangle count is not included in the sum.

I didn’t see this in my documentation, but will try this today. I am on an older version still, so that may be why I don’t see it in my docs. I will try the flags today. Thanks Alek!
