  • Rendermask

Hello, I was wondering if anyone is using the Rendermask script when rendering, it seems like it would be very handy. If you have used it, could you tell me if there is anything I need to do? I don't see any instructions. I am using Vray 5 with 3ds Max.

    Thank you!

I use it but on Vray Next so I'm not 100% sure how well it's compatible with 5 or 6. Works great when I need it just select an object or two and hit "Render Mask" and it gives me a nice white alpha mask of just the visible part of that object(s) in the scene (everything else is black). I'll often place a plant behind objects as well and render that to get a mask of the area between objects in interiors to easily place people in photoshop. I use the script very simply though as I almost never select anything other than luminance and single frame.
