  • Wall moss generator

    Hi guys,
does anyone know if this is made by some kind of moss generator? I mean I can make it myself but I would really like to use a plug in or something. I feel this is used a lot.
    Thanks!

ForestPack would be one way of doing it, or Vray Scatter another.
Your image looks like a cellular displacement to me, so you could definitely get a btter result than that with
    scattered well made moss balls

Moss balls will also keep pests from eating tiny holes in your sweaters.

          Is that a reverse lisp?

LOL. Nah, just like to keep my woolens free of holes.

As already noticed by other users scattering real geometry is the best option but if you want a simple procedural setup then using a deformer or a displacement and some cellular/voronoi noise will work, if you add a Vray fur it will work decently also for closeup:

Thanks for your suggestions. I ended up using FP to scatter simple spheres and wanted to use displacement on them but then learned that I can't due to vrays engine...as FP guys explained. So I just applied some noise to me higher poly spheres. Wanted to make them more fluffy but couldn't.

Honestly I would use some simple/complex (depending on distance) geometry leaves scattered on noisy spheres, then those scattered ofr the pattern.
With FP there'd not be any real ram hit and it would look much better imo, especially with a few different types and maybe using ForestColour for even more variation
