  • Vray edges tex - the opposite of same object only posible?

    Hey!
Simple one really - i've hit this a few times over the years and never bothered posting as I was using a few versions of vray behind, but now i'm on vray 6. Is there any way to set the vrayedgestex in bump mode to only affect other objects?

I like to manually chamfer / smooth to have as much control over any given object as possible, but the edges tex feature where you can turn off same object only and get nice little joins to other objects is super useful. But then it's also attempting to smooth out every single internal edge too, which I dont want. Woud love to find out there's a hidden setting and I can do this already...

No hidden setting, but I guess if you apply a separate shader to the intersecting object and play with the convex/concave options, it could work.

That's what i've done but it's still catching some internal edges. Would it be possible to add this option in future versions? 'Consider other objects only'

I've logged an improvement request (internal bug-tracker id: VMAX-12674).
