  • Environment is black through double glass?

    Hi,

I have a window here, and it's looking through another window, but the back window is black. Any idea why I can't see the sky through it?

Increase the refraction depth of the glass, maybe?

Just tossing this out there, on your glass object is/are there a missing face(s), double faces or some vertices that are not welded causing issues with the IOR?

Everything is welded correctly, they're just two boxes, nothing else

Better attach (or send) a simplified version of the scene so we can determine exactly what's going on.

Ah thank you! I've made a really simplified version here on my dropbox:

I'm not sure what is causing it but it's easily fixable by changing renderer to another and back again ....EDIT: Aha! You had refraction override on and set to black

It might be a problem of your setting of Refraction. Try to set up for "Color+Alpha" in " Affect channels" Click image for larger version

I can't access the file, but fixeighted seems to have found the culprit.
