  • Creating VRAY Bump and Reflection Map

Can someone point me in the direction o how to properly create a VRAY bump, normal and reflection map?

What do you mean? If you already have the maps as images, simply load them in the VRayBitmap node; for normals - it should go through an additional VRayNormalMap node.

If you're talking about actually creating those maps, tools like PixPlant or Photoshop can create normal maps for you.
As for a reflection or glossy map, simply think about what the shader does. Normally, black and white are either 100 or 0 effect. Start with taking your bitmap and turn the saturation to 0 (I prefer doing that in photoshop, but in 3ds max the "color correction" node can remove saturation for you), then add or remove contrast and try it in your shader to see what's happening. It all depends on what you're going for artistically. Same goes for a classic bump map, reduce saturation and start experimenting.
Displacement or heigh maps are a bit more complicated to make.
