  • Official V-Ray equivalent of the aiRange node in 3ds Max

Hi. I would be interested to know what the official V-Ray equivalent is for the MtoA aiRange node (Maya/Arnold) in V-Ray for 3ds Max?

    VRayPluginNodeTex, right?

Use case: Remap textures, mostly roughness.

Yes, VRayPluginNodeTex with the TexSetRange should do the trick.

      Hi Aleksandar

I think this is the wrong node, or I am doing something wrong. With aiRange I change Input Min, Output Min and Contrast. How do I do that with V-Ray?

Ideally for 3ds Max and Maya. Maybe there is a V-Ray node.

In 3ds Max: Material Editor > VRayPluginNodeTex> TexSetRange
In Maya: V-Ray dropdown menu (at the top) > Tools > Create V-Ray Plugin node > Texture > SetRangeTex

        See screencaps for reference.
