  • Transfer function / RGB color space

Hello, I don't quite understand the color space transfer function and was hoping someone could clarify for me. Also, I just wanted to make sure I'm understanding the RGB color space correctly? I think I've read that if you rename your files correctly, you could leave it at default rather then always having to change it for the specific map? As always, any help is greatly appreciated!

    - Not sure...!?

    RGB color space parameters
    - All color maps would be set to the color space you're using
    - All B&W / Norm / Disp would be RAW?

    Hi, thanks for posting.

The Color space transfer function is dealing with the image's gamma-correction. Image formats are displayed and sometimes also saved with standardized corrections such as Gamma 2.2 or sRGB.
This is done in order to display them better with the current display technology and in regard to human eyes capabilities.

The RGB color space tab is added to deal with ACESsg workflow. It "tells" V-Ray what is the incoming color format of the image so the render engine can adjust colors as needed.
