Does anyone know of a work around to implement an edge mode with Chaos Scatter - I think Corona has an option for this but Vray doesn't.

Chaos Scatter - Edge mode

If it's for grass, then the trick I used with Forest, before edge mode was completely supported for Vray, was to use clumps for the main scatter
but leave a gap as they approached the boundary and fill that in with either smaller clumps or if necessary individual blades.
Apparently Vray clipper will work too, so you could try both.

Oh, the way you thin grass next to the edge? I have done that a few ways, like clumps for a larger areas and then smaller areas next to the edge use individual blades instead. Sometimes using different scaling or vertical offsetting can help for that look too. Forest of course does most of this, but the Chaos Scatter does not yet.

So I updated to the latest version of Vray and Forest pack, and I am getting this warning trying to use Forest Pro edge mode
- Support for Forest Pro's Edge Mode;
doesn't seem to work.http://www.jd3d.co.uk - Vray Mentor

I couldn't reproduce that on my end so the edge mode issue might occur when there's something more specific in the scene. Would it be possible to send over a scene sample to philip.shounev@chaos.com so we can troubleshoot ?
