    yeah i did, that fixes the ramping rendertimes, but means each frame takes even longer, since it has to reload all the maps etc too..

        it does a bit.. in the end, fortunately on this job, none of this is a show stopper... the whole thing is only 125 frames long, but 22 hrs to render 125 frames, when it could take nearer 7 is very frustrating. means 1 less day to refine things and deal with client feedback... on a longer job it would be nasty.
