  • Denoiser

Does anybody get away with using denoiser at anything more that, let’s say, .04 opacity? It would be great if V-Ray looked at more than just color pixels and looked at geometry. Let us say we have white trim on a white wall. With denoiser as it is not, it is muddy and not usable above .04. If V-Ray looked at it as geometry, then it would know there should be detail where the trim meets the wall. I sometimes use a VRAY Extra Texture with a dirt map to being some detail back, but the dirt map isn’t really sharp enough to work the greatest.

HI, thanks for posting. The V-Ray Denoiser is not looking only coloured pixels. That is why we have all the layers that come along with Denoiser.
