Hi guys,
I was watching this very useful tutorial (thanks Jonas): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2KqOfraUyw&t=665s (he explains translucency from about 9:31)
It's interesting that he mentions a new workflow for translucency, which I have noticed in lots of imported PBR surfaces from Quixel. However, my question is, if I use the SSS option in my VrayMtl Translucency settings, is it much slower than using a 2-sided Material? I feel like it's affecting me here, but I don't have time right now to run some tests. Plus, is the quality much better with SSS enabled vs 2-Sided?
hope that all makes sense...
