lens effect to each lightmix light layer

Hi,

is it possible to add glare effect to each light in light mix? So each light mix will contain lighting itself and lens effect of this light in one layer?

I have a problem in animation where I want to animate the lights but they are too close to use glare layer.

HI, thanks for posting. With the latest version V-Ray has the feature of lens effects masking. Have you tried the new lens effects masks? If you haven't please do and let us know how it goes.

Hmm, I saw glare masking for emmisive materials not for lights. I have to check this out.
But, I am doing an animation. Can I animate that?
Another thing is that in post I can change my mind and move light intensity on/off to a different frame which is better than do everything baked into an animation. What I done is I saved every layer of an animation from lightmix and animate everything in AE. But I cant use glare layer because intensity of lights is changing. This is why it would be better for me to have glare on every light layer from lightmix instead of having all glare lights effects in one layer.

I'm always rendering a glare pass after the comp.
When I'm happy with my comp, I import the sequence as an environment background (screen mode for the bitmap) in an empty scene and render it.
You can get away with fixed min subdivs of 2 so its quite fast.
That way, I get a glare layer that contains the changes I made in post.
I believe there is a way to run it by using some command line tool too. But I don't know how that works...
btw: get rid of after effects and use fusion (or daVinci resolve which contains fusion) I did that switch some years ago, and I'm not looking back.

If only we could get a Vray lens effects node for Fusion like the one for Nuke... Nuke is just too expensive

Hi Jiri.Matys one idea is to finish your composition and after that run it trough VFB's batch image processing to add the lens effects. I logged a feature request about multiple lens effects in our bug tracking system under VMAX-13150.
