This is a generally wise approach: the "hidden" cost of early adoption is actually a thing, and not for AD products only either.
We 'should' be older and wiser by this point, so any adverse outcomes are surely down to silliness
That is of course not to say that some software updates are done from the server side and can mess things up...see the post on Cosmos downloads as an example...
Well I think we should be happy that the offering is inticing enough that we're actually considering the risk of early adoption. The last few releases have been commendable given their history.
Um...I got a specific BitDefender alert from the nightly... Named TrickOrTreat.Gen.1.
The reason I mention it is that I've never once had an alert like this from anything at all
in my memory, so thought it worth mentioning.
I won't install this until it can be verified as some bizarre false positive
