  • rendering 5 camera sequences in a row hands-off

hello. is there a way to render 5 different cameras, each with different animation lengths, all "in a row" without me having to kick off a sequence by hitting the render production button. will a vrscene file do that? do i have to use vray standalone? thanks!

Hey s_gru, I would use Autodesk's Backburner for that -- you can download it for free from Autodesk's website. Once you have Backburner open as a server, manager, and monitor on the same computer you can submit jobs through 3Ds Max by changing the render "Target" from "Production Rendering Mode" to "Submit to Network Rendering." There aren't a ton of tutorials out there on how to do this, but it's pretty simple once you set it up.

Or use deadline, which is now free.

Scene states + batch render: all done within Max.
