  • Moving 3dsmax camera convert to Vray moving camera

    Hi all,

Anyone know how to convert a standard 3dsmax animated camera into a vray animated camera. I have tracked some drone footage in after effects and it spits out a max standard camera, I can find scripts to convert still cameras but not moving ones.

    Any help appreciated !

What do you mean by standard camera? Physical, Free, or Targeted? Free and Targeted cameras can easily be converted through the V-Ray scene converter (V-Ray menu at the top 3ds Max bar >Converters >V-Ray scene converter> Dropdown menu). If it's physical, what's the reason for conversion?

could you create a vray cam and use IK solver to bind it to the max cam?

Brilliant, thanks hermit.crab yes the scene converter worked a treat, hadn't realised it did cameras, my bad.

        Cheers,
