  • PSA Regarding VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL BSOD Crashes

This is interesting, and obnoxious, since they reported it in January, and it is still not fixed in the latest NVidia drivers.

BSOD crash on AMD, or driver crash on Intel when video memory is exhausted.

We were getting this when rendering with VRay if the 4090 was already full due to other apps caching so much in the VRAM. So keep your eye on your video memory usage, esp with AMD, since it really is a full BSOD. I have no idea if this affects VRayGPU (I assume it does). We were suing CPU and crashing during IPR. Limiting the max VRAM usage in other apps seems to have avoided it.

Please note there is FINALLY (took since January at least) a driver that appears to fix this crash:
