Ray-tracing vs Path tracing

Hi,

After reading this article: https://www.techspot.com/article/248...s-ray-tracing/ , i understand that path tracing is different from ray tracing, and it looks like path tracing is more advanced (faster) than ray tracing, will VRay change from ray tracing to path tracing in future?

Uhmmm, I'm not sure that will never happen as, if I've correctly understood Path tracing : Ray tracing = vowel : alphabet.
In any case, Vray already changed to Path tracing as in the next 6.1 builds will be available the OpenPGL as testing feature.

Open Path Guiding is not path tracing if i am not wrong
