    is there a standaone editor for *.vrmat files ?

    Hi, thanks for posting. The short answer could be "No" but if you share a bit more information about your workflow and what you try to achieve we might find a workaround.

      Hello Vladimir,

      we work with 3dsmax 2022+Vray 6, but my client works with 3dsmax 2014 + Vray 3.7.
      We draw components for him, which he wants to use in his scene. This works fine as vrmesh+vrmat.
      Now my customer would like to adjust some materials minimally. Specifically, he wants to open the original vrmat file, make corrections, and save it again as vrmat. So that when he opens his 3dsmax 2014 again, the updated materials are already used.​

        Hi, it seems there is indeed no way to import and edit a vrmat into 3ds Max. I can recall the VRayVRmatMtl but it only loads the vrmat.
