Nobody? I was using Topaz's sharpen AI, but it is way too much of an effect, so I want to try something else.Bobby Parker

Hi Bobby, the sharpen/blur is a "make it more beautiful" tool more or less. And as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it is a matter of taste. Here is the docs page about sharpen/blur - https://docs.chaos.com/display/VMAX/...ng-SharpenBlur

I only use it when I rendering something onto a photo backplate, and I need to match the blur / sharpness in VFB to be able to unify the cg and backplate. I only tend to use it as a previs tool in the VFB, and turn it off for final rendering....but as Vladimir says, there's no one setting I'd use between projects, it always changes depending on the shot.

Yes, my research is, it is only for previz and not final production.Bobby Parker
