  • Anyway to add a "tag" to filename in vfb save output?

Got a random question. Is there anyway to add some kind of tag to the filename so it lets say adds the cameraname in front of the filename?

    For a example. "&cam-lowresrender.exr"
Where the &cam is it would replace it with the camera being used in the shot?

I have like 36 cameras I am trying to batch render/export but want to use vfb. I dont think it will name the shots different sadly so I am trying to find a solution for it to add filename of camera to the front.

    Thanks in advance!

looks like you can add a <camera/view> attribute

The man himself!!! So I tried this camera view method. Only issue I noticed is, when I setup the batch render and send it to the farm. VFB only rememberes the first camera you set it up thru, so the filenames keep overwriting.

Do you by any chance have any other ideas what I can try? I am doing a 360 spinset but for the thing I am doing its mandatory each frame is its own camera. So I have to setup the batch render process in 3d max or find another way to submit all 36 cameras to vfb without having to do 1 camera at a time and change filename.

I would recommend using this free script that can do that and a lot more

I've just tested the latest version (1.18 ) and all seems to works fine here , I'm using Max 2023 and VRay 6 too. What kind of issues that do you have with this script?
I've used this script a lot in the past, but for the complex scenes that we have now we've moved to other paid options mainly to manage scene states ,and now I only use this script occasionally (mostly for old scenes compatibility).
