    The results are in!

    Main PC 44 minutes
    With node 35 minutes
    RTX 7 minutes (3090)
    Cuda 9 minutes

This is testing my typical exterior with a ton of geometry. Railclone, and Forest Pack Pro.

Now, although GPU is much faster, it takes longer for the render to start, and it has its quirks. Why would Cuda be slower than RTX? I have a 4090 coming this week and I'll test that.

Hi, thanks for posting. An RTX video card is specifically designed for ray tracing. It has specialized hardware for the task and is much more efficient that a non RTX one.
The CUDA mode does not take full advantage from the RTX cores.
It is a different way of controlling the hardware but it can render with both the processor and the video card.

Here is a nice article comparing V-Ray GPU and V-Ray CPU.
The CPU also needs to be adequate since it processes all the information to make it usable for the GPU. This becomes more important if you are using multiple GPUs
