Asking if anyone has tried the LTU recently to transfer an old (2017) license to a new PC?
I upgrading to a new 13900KS PC and want to carry on using my perpetual license, as max2017 / vray 3 - does everything I need.
I'm assuming I can install Max 2017 / vray onto the new PC as if it were a render node and then use the LTU to transfer the license from my old PC which would become a render node.
My questions are: will it work? Will Autodesk come and bite me in the ass? If I do need a new authorisation code, can I still get one (AD seem to have forgotten I ever had a perpetual license.)
[I know it's out of date but it still does 95% of a 2024 license and doesn't cost me an arm n leg, plus I still have 6 FREE render nodes if I want]
thanks for your advice
