OSM Import to Max, without Maproom

Hi
Apart from the paying for the Plugin like Maproom, How do you get OSM data into 3D Max.
Funny that the OSm info is free, but to use it generally speaking you have to pay for a plugin?
Odd ..........
Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah getting OSM in Max is a hassle, I use Rhinoceros + Grasshopper and clean up everything in there before moving to 3ds Max.
