  • A question about "Temporal Mode" denoiser option

There was a silent addition of a new tick-box in Denoiser render element, recently.
It is called "Temporal Mode". I know the way it works - very well - from After Effects plugin called NeatVideo. I would like to know how it works in 3dsmax... Does it take noise data from previous frames in rendered sequence of files? As far as I know it would be hard to do in 3dsmax, so perhaps it is a different Nvidia solution?
I am using this option, but not sure if it perform better than non-temporal way.

    Best,
    nl

Yes, it takes the information from the previous frames to create a smoother transition.
You can read more about the Denoiser on this page.
