  • Printable Vray Help - Silly Question?

this has probably already been asked a billion times - is it/would it be possible to print the vray help files?

i find things easier to cover if i can see it on a page, and it helps pass the time travelling on the tube to work.

Actually, is there any reason why the Chaos group guys cannot create a downloadable document?

I mean, I have to login and navigate to the support site everytime...

Is this a "security" kind of measure? Normally the documentation is quite available, for people to look at and understand the product, before they buy...

This has been brought up countless times. It basically comes down to since they are always updating the page you would have to download a huge pdf each time a little update is made.

So until 1.5 comes out they are keeping it webbased only. Technically there is no reason at all. Its just a choice of theirs to deal with it in this fashion

You don't need to login to the site to access the online help index. You can go directly to the link:
            http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/VRayHelp150beta/

We have been reluctant to put up a compiled help index for two reasons:
first, we update the pages every now and again; and second, the total size of the help index is quite large and we don't want to make users download hundreds of megabytes each time something little changes.

            Best regards,
            Vlado
