Anyone have tips for using Hair and Fur extension with Vray?

Hi,

I am going to use Hair and Fur extension for grass in a project I am doing. Any tips for using Hair and Fur extension with Vray? Eg. Ways of saving memory during rendering. I am going to be rendering this project out at 3975 x 2850 so conserving memory maybe an issue.

My suggestion is to render the hair/fur as a sepperate pass.
I have had problems rendering the max hair and fur with vray.
