I am trying to render an image with an ortho camera, but the camera keeps clipping part of the image. I try to set the clipping to 0mm, but it still clips. Is there any way to fix this, it's driving me crazy. I have looked everywhere and seen this problem a lot, but never been able to find an answer, anyone? Thanks.

    Hi charbroil....

    Try this...
    Shift + F...

You have to see 3 different coloured Rectangles, which are the Safe-Frames,
    for your rendering output...

The Outest One is showing You what is going to be rendered in the VFB...
This is 100% wired to your render Resolutions, which You setup in the
    Common Menu...
What appears under the Frame, that is what your going to have...

Also Switch Off any Clippings from Your Camera...

I have my safe frames turned on, but I'm still getting clipping. If I turn off clipping for the camera, it appears to not clip in the viewport, but when I render the image it still clips?
I read somehwere that clipping does not work with ortho camera's and that max switches to the default 1m regardless. Is there a way around this?

Hmm, it's definitely a vray issue. I rendered the same scene with scanline and standard materials and it was fine. Is their a clipping setting specific to vray that i can change?

I have had a look at your file, cant seem to get it to work either.
A work around is to use a 200mm camera and then adjust the FOV until you get the view you want.

Maybe vlado can offer some more advice.

Thanks for the help. It also seems to go away if camera correction is under 5, which is strange. Unfortunately I need some pretty serious camera correction, so that doesn't help. I will try to match it, as you say. Thanks.

It would be best if you can email me the file to vlado@chaosgroup.com so that I can see what is happening.

                    Best regards,
