  • How to reuse the GI part in post (AE for instance) from the shadow-alpha?

Hi Guys, just like the title already may explain. The green-blueish teint is surly the negative of what the red color of the object bounced off is like.
And theoretically, if the alpha is inverted, the shadow is dark and the GI is red as it is supposed to be.
But where is the trick in comp? (PS or AE).?

As long I copy and paste the layer from Framebuffer to Photoshop, I get a 1:1 RGB copy, hit invert and then I am there. But for animations, it does not make much sense this way... =)
I find it anyway quite interesting, that an alpha contains "color". So with that in mind, why not "copy and paste" this into RGB Values for the color channels along the separate alpha render element?

left NO Gi - right side WITH Gi.

Hi, thanks for posting. Could tell us a bit more? Are you using matte properties? What is "shadow-alpha"? Is that a render element? Are you using V-Ray CPU or V-Ray GPU?
