  • Quick advice needed - IR map leaks

i have these dirty leaks on my rendering. Do you hae an advice to get rid of it without drastically increase render times ?

Does check sample visibility is useful when my elements have a thickness ?

    thanks in advance !

an extract of the 1920x1600 rendering, GI : IR map in first bounce and lightmap for secondary, both at 1.0 multiplier. Exponenetial color mapping.

    and my settings

    Hi ...try this ...

Interp samples put back to 20..
clr thresh put down to 0.22 ..
sample look up put to Overlapping..

    your Lightcache ..

subdivs could come down quite a lot ... maybe to say 1600
    untick store direct light
    and prefilter = 100

    see how you go ..

      thanks a lot natty !

I've made some tests before your answer and i found a good compromise in lowering IR map settings and unchecking store with IR map on my huge invisible vrlight (which i forgot to mention )

Nevertheless, your advices will be very useful for me ! they gave me the courage to make another series of tests

A quick test that permit me to extrapolate an acceptable rendering time of 10 hours for the final image

The settings are Natty ones + an unchecked strore with IR map for the Vraylight

          thx again !

i'll post the final result in the "renovation of a gallery" in image uploads folder when finished
