  • Vray Environment & Light Select elements

Does anyone know of a way to render out just the lighting contribution from Vray environment as a render element, for use with the other light select render elements in post? I have a job where a client specified background is outside the window of an interior space as a texture on a curved plane (its a timelapse video). I have animated the Vray environment colour to loosely represent the change in lighting in the video to cast some drama into the interior scene, and all works well, but the compositor wants the option to rebuld the lighting in post using the Light Select render elements, i just dont see an option anywhere to have a render element with just the environment lighting contribution. I can simply render the scene with all lights off and just the environment I guess, but it would be useful as a render element to not have to do that.

Hi, thanks for posting. I suggest using VRayLightMix.
It has a environment layer and all other lights.
