Can anyone give me any tips for the Dynamic Memory settings?

I am rendering animation frames from a saved solution. Times as follows.

    Static: 1.03
    Dynamic 1000MB: 6.07

The only reason I am toying with Dynamic is that my scene is very complex, and I think with all the geometry visible I will be forced to use the Dynamic settings as the 3GB switch alone will not help.

My machine is a Dual 3.06GHz XEON with 2GB RAM.

Is it always so much slower?

Have You also considered using the VrayMesh ???

As You say with all that complex (High-poly) model, I think Proxies can
be very useful... in that case..!

Yes we are starting to go down that route also. They seem quite a good option.

Vray Proxies rock! Just rendered a 12 million poly scene with proxies. Without proxies it was dieing at 2 million!

        Vray rocks!!!

im using massive amounts of vray meshes with opacity mapped leaves. Cant say its too bad really. Im using vray materials using its opacity slot. much faster then standard mats.
