  • saving Vray VFB region render

    Can you do this?

I've just rendered a region in the VFB and when I try and save the image, it doesn't seem to do anything - I can't even clone it the the Max VFB.

    Odd.
    Kind Regards,

    Hi tricky,

Can You please be more specific. I just did a quick test and it works just fine...Also, what kind of format are you trying to save ?

I've since restarted MAX and it seems to be OK. Strange.

I have recently (last 6 weeks) started using DR more and more, and over the last week or so started to make use of the Vray domelight and not using GI at all. Its been quite an eye opener.

However, I also seem to be having strange random problems which I am not entirely sure can be pinned down to my recent DR/domelight setup.

1 problem is the one mentioned above whereby sometimes, I can't seem to save out the VFB image (not sure if it is just after rendering a region). However, when I restart MAX, and render again, it seems OK.

Another issue is that occasionally, the VFB does not even appear, even though it is rendering. Again, restarting MAX sorts this out.

And another issue is another thread I posted a few days ago where I get random cyan coloured dots in my renders - this has always been when using no GI, domelight and (I think) DR. I'm a bit busy so I haven't had a chance to email Vlado the scene.

Has anyone else experienced any of these issues?
      Kind Regards,
