  • duplicate viz installations

Ok I've done this before but I can't remember how to overcome this error. I copied my entire viz4 folder to another folder with a different name. (So I can run 2 setups, vray 1.09 and 1.47 on the same machine) I changed the path assignments in the 3dsviz.ini and the plugins.ini accordingly. Works fine except it's trying to load all my plugins twice and I get this error.

If I hit "no" viz loads and everything works fine but I can't find anything that points to the old plugin path and I get this error every time. Checked and rechecked all ini's and the plugin manager. Any ideas? Thanks

it means your plugins are being loaded from where your first install is. you need to manually edit your plugin.ini or whatever its called to show the current location.

Well that wasn't quite the problem. Turns out that vray 1.47 added another reference to the plugins folder in the plugins.ini. Even though the paths were correctly changed, there was still 2 references to the same plugins folder. I deleted one and now I'm on the high road to 1.47 land!
