  • studio setup for light fixture

im working on a light fixture, and im not quite sure where to start with a studio setup. its a hanging light, so right now i just have a chamfer box with normals flipped and a matte shadow material applied. the fixture itself emits light, but it is almost entirely glass, so i have one plane light and some cards. im not even sure if im going about this the right way at all. im not quite sure how to provide a reference without being too specific. any suggestions of what has worked for any of you in the past. or even any images youve found that exhibit a good lighting setup for this sort of light..

        Hi
I would build a scene around the object you want to show, rather than putting it in a box with nothing to reflect, or does it have to be in a studio setup?
