  • Import materials from vrscen file?

    Hi All,

sorry of that is a stupid Q, i am c4d user not max.

i needed import the materials from a vrscene into max, so they become normal vray mats in my max scene.(we have materials in c4d vray that we need 1:1 in the max scene., i want to use the vrscene from c4d)

any ideas? i see only the vrscene importer node, but this keeps it as a closed vrscene which isnt what i needed.or is there a way to convert the vrscene to normal max elements? in c4d this is possible(vrscene to c4d scene)
might the enscape vrscene importer work?

hope there is a way i oversee,

    thanks for help!

You can load shaders from .vrscene files through the VRayVRMatMtl.

ok i tried but sadly this again only connects it and not makes an editable vray max material. is there anyway to convert the vrmat into a normal material which can be further worked on(classic vray material)?

Just tested the Enscape .vrscene importer and it seems to work. Try it.

really? we actually tried a vrcene from c4d and it came in as empty material. we might try again if you had an ok result, maybe i did over see something,
(or it might be c4d vrscene in special are slightly different? we used mostly bitmaps so in theory should be easy materials)
