  • Ghosting around MultiMatteElement

hi, I'm using the MultiMatteElement and the lines appear when I increase the exposure. They appear more around some plants and less on others. Seems worse in the background plants and plants with smaller leaves. any ideas?
    many thanks

yeah it looks like it just effects the opacity leaves

Might need to set Refraction to Affect All Channels

I'm my experience it happens with cryptomatte as well and is unrelated to the opacity but is due to the antialiasing on the edge pixels of the matte. It's just most noticeable when the object you are adjusting is on a lighter background. Not sure if it's a bug in the math (I don't think so) but it seems like you can only push the exposure so far before it becomes noticeable, probably due to Exposure pushing pixels over 1.0 or something. I've avoided in the past by using Curves instead of Exposure and just adjusting the midpoint of the curve and leaving 0 and 1 unchanged.
