  • Compositing Lightmix passes in AE

    Hi,

I'm trying to create an After Effects animation sequence showcasing the Lightmix passes rendered out from 3dsmax.
Rendered out as .tga's with mode set to "add" in AE - some areas are over exposed and this method doesn't seem to work.

Anyone done this before - any advice?

Maybe some of your shaders have the "Affect All Elements" option active, which leads to double reflection/reflactions. In this case, you need to ignore those elements, since the info is already in the others.

Make sure the "Blend colors using 1.0 gamma" option is checked in the Project Settings-->Color tab. This would generally make the entire image overexposed though, not specific areas.
